Daily UI Challenge
I take the Daily UI Challenge to practice regularly and deepen my skills as a designer. It pushes me to be creative with different tasks and expand my knowledge base by working on different designs that I may not have been familiar with. I am just beginning this process and I’m eager to see how this helps me evolve as a designer.
*Please allow a moment to let the prototypes load, then feel free to explore my mini designs
Challenge #1
“Create a sign up page, modal, form, or app screen related to signing up for something. It could be for a volunteer event, contest registration, a giveaway, or anything you can image.”
To start simple, I designed an account creation screen. Almost every service requires an account in order to keep data secure and save user progress or preferences. It helps companies manage access, provide support, and communicate updates. Accounts also enable features like syncing across devices and tailoring content to individual users.
I wanted to create something with a friendly tone, inspired by social media sites while showcasing a certain color that would be associated with this brand (if it existed).
Challenge #2
“Design a credit card checkout form, don’t forget numbers, dates, security code, etc...”
Taking inspiration from my real life as a new plant mother, I decided to create a checkout screen for a plant website. I added a progress bar at the top to alert customers of their progress within the checkout progress, the ability to scan your credit card and automatically parse your payment info, and a celebratory “Thank You” screen to create a positive feeling for the user. I also used color with the “Pay xyz” bar by greying it out to tell the customer that the payment screen is not complete.
Also within the prototype, you can add or subtract Ivy plants and the site will update the price with a loading image to create the sense of taking a moment calculating a new price for the customer, ensuring confidence of the updated price.
Challenge #3
“Create a Landing Page. What's the main focus? Is it for a book, an album, a mobile app, a SaaS product? Consider important landing page elements (Headlines, call-to-action buttons, typography, clarity, etc.)”
My idea was to create a landing page for an audio technology brand called SoundWave. I chose a color palette based on color theory: blue for intelligence and logic, purple for creativity and luxury, and white for simplicity and purity. Using AI tools, I created a sound wave image that visually represents the experience these products aim to deliver.
The page follows a clean, simple, and futuristic design to appeal to a younger audience interested in luxury technology.
